Our approach is holistic. This means collaborating with families to understand the "whole-child." Together, we create a treatment plan that builds on each child's unique strengths and needs. Goals are individualized and meaningful to the family and reflect developmental milestones.
Holistic also means meeting each child where they are at. We recognize that kids learn best when they are calm and happy. We are skilled at teaching and guiding kids the core skills needed to learn.
These core skills are called Executive Functioning Skills and include the ability to regulate our nervous systems, focus/concentrate, remember information, process and communicate about our emotional states, and more!
Once children are regulated, they can connect to their own sense of motivation and take action toward their therapy goals.
Your child's treatment plan may also include recommendations and referrals.
We share office space with the providers at Human Kind Counseling for easy referral.
We also have referral connections to dentists and orthodontists in the area to co-treat Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD's) for kids with tongue & lip ties, tongue thrust, mouth breathing, thumb sucking, chronic congestion & sleep issues.
